We were asked to do portrait photos this time. I’ve been taking photos for some time, but mainly travel photography about landscape. This is almost my first time doing portrait photos.
At first it was quite scary to ask a person to take a photo. It’s not only because technically I don’t know how to compose or capture a person’s emotion or gesture into photos, but also I don’t want to take the responsibility to film another person to satisfy both of us. But I slowly found out shooting portrait photo is also really interesting because human beings, as a subject, is very flexible and unpredictable. Some small details of person’s facial expression, showing their deep and strong emotions, most of the time being ignored by our eyes, could be captured by camera.
From then on I’m thinking to do my final project about people, to capture their deeper mind and thoughts, find out somethings in common lies in all of us.
