This is my first photography class. Although I’ve been playing around with my camera for three years, I’m still far from being professional.
Our first task is to pick a photo from the books that inspires us. The following is mine:

Technically, the composition of the photo is just right, every objects follow the golden ratio. What’s more, a boy playing around with a street sign of “Pride” is a huge contrast. Being curious about the world, the pride, the rules to be polite, it seems like no one could teach the boy with all the things he needs to understand. So he could only find out by himeself, by interacting with the world, physically. Last but not the least, kids are always the sign of future. The boy looking for pride is also the way human beings chasing civilized and comfortable life. The more children finding out the world their way, the better and more complex the world will be.
Also, we were asked to do the first shooting task. Everyone was assigned a theme, mine was “Mirror”. Basically I need to look for anything symmetrical in the school and record it. The following are my photos.

I edited them into Black and White. The color is ignored and in this way the composition will be clearer.
The contactsheet is provided as follows.
